Young Maestro - Around the World with 46 Tunes is a supplementary piano book for children are in their first years of piano studying, composed by Robert Nissenson - my musician friend originally coming from New York, today is active in composing, performing and teaching in Israel. Music in this book is a collection of little pieces Roberto created while teaching his pupils. Some tunes are known but jazzily re-arranged by Robert, some have been composed by Robert especially for this book.
Playing music from this book feels like having a tour around the world, from Europe to Africa, including an old folk song from China. Apart from the cute graphics on each page, together with these international tunes, these is always some brillian quote from some genious from that country, which shed some cultural light for the children.
The book can be find in various music stores in Tel Aviv, Naharia and some other places. Now it is also available on "Make Your Music" community site, offering PayPal and Credit Card as payment method.
